BJP calls Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra 'bigger disaster' than Rahul Gandhi 

A new debate has erupted between Congress leader and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi and the BJP on Monday (16 December 2024). Priyanka Gandhi arrived at the Parliament complex with a bag that had "Palestine" written on it along with symbols, including a watermelon. The watermelon is seen as a symbol of Palestinian resistance and solidarity. The move was criticised by the BJP, which called it "appeasement." BJP MP Sambit Patra hit out at Priyanka Gandhi, saying, "The Gandhi family is carrying the bag of appeasement."It is because of this appeasement that they (Congress) lost the elections.Slamming the BJP, Priyanka Gandhi said the criticism is "patriarchy" where they are being "told what to wear and what not to wear.""I don't support patriarchy. I'll wear what I want.BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya called Priyanka a "bigger disaster than Rahul Gandhi."
